If you remember back in January an environmental health officer in the Dublin 8 area acting on behalf of the HSE told MVP, a well known drinking hole in Clanbrassil Street Upper, (operated by Bodytonic) they can no longer allow dogs on the premises. Trev O’She from Bodytonic was told the only dogs your allowed on the premises are guide dogs, assistance dogs or companion dogs.

MVP is well known for being dog-friendly for a long time now and after no further contact from the HSE, MPV has decided to open it’s doors once again to our four legged friend.

Today MVP updated their Facebook Status with the following message:

As of today, we are allowing dogs back on the premises of MVP. We have received no formal written information on why this was not allowed in the first place, nor have any other bars in Dublin been notified. So we are going to continue trading as we have done, and as countless bars & cafes across the country have done, for years. At the end of the day, we have a business, and jobs to protect, and lots of customers who are loyal and faithful to what we have built here.

Thank you all for your support, you’ve been brilliant. Hopefully see some familiar faces back in here over the weekend.

MVP Crew.

We wish you guys the best of luck! Please support MPV by sharing this post on your media pages letting everyone know they can bring along their dog to place that serves good food and good booze. What more could ya ask for?
