This year, I have decided to create an extra section to my blog, it’s called Find A Home Friday (#findahomefriday). Every Friday I’m going to post a selection of dogs that are currently waiting for their furever homes in Irish pound and shelters.
Last year 2,896 dogs were put to sleep in Irish pounds, although that was a 7% reduction on the year before…it’s still a hell of a lot of dogs.
Please help me make a difference by sharing this post on your social using our hashtag #findahomefriday or if you are affiliated with any of these types of organisations please get in touch via my contact page.

Kildare Animal Foundation: Pepper is a beautiful medium sized mix breed. She is around 7 months old and is a joy to have around. She is good with dogs and cats. She might only have three legs but that doesn’t slow her down. She would make a great addition to a family. Pepper is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated etc Contact: 045 522 929
Offaly SPCA: Meet meg, she is a young dog, very friendly, lively, outgoing and inquisitive. She just wants to play and be everyone’s friend, be it human or canine! She is learning to walk on a lead and doing well, and is nearly house trained. Meg will be medium sized when fully grown, needs an enclosed garden. and will be fully vaccinated and micro chipped. Once she is old enough we will make arrangements for her to be neutered. She would make a fabulous family pet. Contact: 086 826 2986
ISPCA: Chilli is a gorgeous lady looking for her own second chance. Chilli is a diamond in the rough, very affectionate but a little unsure of strangers steaming to her previous life. She will need a loving home with a little time to settle and she will transform into a fantastic family pet. She would suit a home with children but a little older, preferably 8+ years who are used to dogs. Ideally, her home will have another confident dog for company, so she can follow their lead and settle quicker. Secure fencing or run is a must in her new home to keep her safe when she is outdoors. She will be a house dog, she is looking forward to a life of luxury and love. She is currently receiving lead training and this will need to continue in her new home so she can get her daily walks and enjoy being out & about meeting new people and dogs. She will be tested with cats and other animals for her new adopters, the details will be available soon. Have you room n your home & heart for this special little lady. These beautiful dogs were rescued from a puppy farm as a part of a large scale raid in conjunction with local authority. All required veterinary attention, grooming & extensive dental work.
