BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Established over 60 years ago, the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA) is Ireland’s largest national animal welfare charity and represents 20 affiliated member societies around the country. Together the ISPCA and its members help, rescue, treat and responsibly rehome tens of thousands of animals of all different species.
THE ROLE: We are now seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager (specific purpose contract) to develop and implement an ambitious sustainable strategy to enable the organisation to achieve its long-term objectives.
The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for all of the ISPCA’s fundraising activities including the planning, developing and execution of a clear fundraising vision, raising new long-term sustainable funds through focused fundraising initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the fundraising arena, developing and managing high-level donor relationships and meeting or exceeding fundraising targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES: • To review, develop, manage and implement the ISPCA’s fundraising activities. • To develop and manage the implementation of the organisation’s corporate fundraising strategy, to secure a sustainable source of income and/or support from companies and other fundraising sources. • To develop and manage donor acquisition and donor retention strategy. • To build innovative partnerships with companies/individuals to raise funds through donations, volunteering, cause-related marketing partnerships and sponsorship and to provide leadership in the delivery of sponsor/donor care.
SKILLS & QUALITIES REQUIRED: • Passionate about the voluntary sector and the work of the ISPCA • Previous fundraising experience with a proven ability to build and nurture high-level donor and corporate relationships • The ability to prioritise, plan and organise own workload • Strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills • A committed and flexible team player with strong relationship management skills
